Be Industry-Ready by the End of the Program

The Syn Studio Concept Art Diploma Program was designed to help you learn the most relevant concept art techniques and pipelines used by current industry professionals and build a top-notch concept art portfolio without having to wait for 4 long years or burn a hole in your pocket. The program’s curriculum was designed in consultation with top concept artists and educators such as Scott Robertson and is constantly being updated to match current industry trends and requirements.

The program’s hands-on structure, with its small class size, ensures that you will receive ample one-on-one attention from the instructors, enabling you to rapidly improve so you can become industry-ready by the end of the program. In addition, you will also get plenty of opportunities to network and get noticed by top companies during supplementary workshops, masterclasses, studio visits, end-of-term galas, and other industry-related events (all included free of charge for diploma students).

Curriculum

The intense Concept Art Diploma Program is divided into two halves. During the first 9 months of the program, you will strengthen your fundamentals and develop high-level design and illustration skills using traditional art tools, Photoshop, and 3D software. In the second half of the program, you will apply what you’ve learned to complete portfolio-building concept art assignments in addition to learning advanced digital techniques and pipelines. During this phase, you will take the role of a junior concept artist, with your teacher acting as your art director. This hands-on training provides you with critical on-the-job skills and helps you build a professional-level concept art portfolio that matches the exacting industry standards.
