New on ArtStation: Showcasing Pro Artists, New Reactions & Message Request System

We’ve rolled out a series of updates focused on better showcasing Pro artists and improving how you interact and connect with projects and artists in ArtStation. Here’s what’s new:

Spotlighting Pro Artists Across ArtStation

We’re introducing new ways to highlight work from our ArtStation Pro community across the site.

Pro Spotlight panel

You’ll now see a Pro Spotlight panel on select channels. Each time the page loads, it highlights a rotating selection of recent projects from Pro artists, making it easier to discover fresh work and talent.

2×2 featured thumbnails on channels

You’ll also notice larger 2×2 thumbnails in channel feeds. These feature projects from Pro artists and are selected at random. This does not affect the overall ordering of projects—just how some work is visually showcased.

Message Requests 

We’ve introduced a Message Request system to better support professional outreach between studios and artists, and help prevent unwanted and spam messages. To contact someone you’re not already connected with, you’ll now send a request along with a short message explaining why you’d like to connect.

When you receive a request, you can:

• Accept and start the conversation
• Block the sender
• Mark as spam
• Archive the request

You’ll receive an email notification when someone sends you a message request similar to notifications for new messages. You can configure notifications in your settings here.

Remember to be cautious of messages claiming to be from ArtStation or Epic Games, as well as unsolicited offers to purchase your work. If something feels suspicious, you can report it to us.

Mandatory Mature Content Field 

You are now required to fill out the “Mature Content” section when publishing a new project, blog, product, or print. Learn more about Mature Content on ArtStation here.

If you indicate your project, blog, product or print includes mature content, the artwork will either be hidden, appear blurred, or will not be visible to users depending on their individual mature content settings.

Other Bug Fixes & Improvements

We’ve also added new features and addressed a number of issues across the platform, including:

• Introduced new ways to show your appreciation for other artists’ works including “Amazing” and “Magical.” Each option counts toward the total “like” count on the project.
• Fixed guest checkout issues from personal websites
• Resolved multiple .mp4 upload issues (including filename spacing bugs)
• Improved spam prevention via messaging and comment limits
• Fixed display issues in the Android app
• Resolved Epic Games login issues on iOS
• Fixed loading issues with large collections
• Fixed issues removing projects from collections
• Resolved product publishing validation errors
• Fixed product video playback for print listings
• Corrected inaccurate marketplace ratings
• Fixed job post “copy link” functionality
