Visual Arts, Visual Effects, Animation & More at GDC 2018!

GDC has something for every kind of game artist, getting deep into topics which include art direction, animation, visual arts, visual effects, and more.

Summits + Tutorials take place during the first two days of GDC 2018 (Monday and Tuesday, March 19-20), which include the Art Direction Bootcamp featuring speakers from Riot Games and Naughty Dog, Inc, the Animation Bootcamp featuring speakers from Guerilla Games and Blizzard Entertainment on Monday as well as the Visual Effects Bootcamp and Technical Artist Bootcamp on Tuesday. Learn best practices and innovative approaches at the Visual Effects Bootcamp with sessions which include How VR is Going to Break All the Rules in VFX and Autonomy in Real-Time Effects: Artist Driven Tools and Techniques for Large Scale Production.

The Visual Arts track encompasses all the aforementioned bootcamps and more with artist sessions in GDC Conference (March 21-23). Visual Track sessions in GDC Conference include Animating Quill: Creating an Emotional Experience, Developing the Art of ‘Fortnite’ and The Visual Effects Technology of ‘Destiny’.
