About the Artists

Atey Ghailan – Founder & Creative Director, Envar

Atey started his career in law, but pivoted into art. His first official job as a Concept Artist was in 2012 and he’s been working in the entertainment industry ever since. Some of the announced titles Atey has worked on include League of Legends, Valorant, Injustice: Gods Among Us, and Star Citizen. He recently launched Envar, an art outsource studio, at the end of last year and today his team consists of 26 incredible members.


Jas Dhatt – Principal 3D Artist, Fall Guys

Jas Dhatt has nearly 7 years of experience working in the games industry. In 2014, she graduated from the University of Hertfordshire with a First-Class Honours studying 3D Games Art, and began her full-time career as an intern at Creative Assembly. In less than 4 years, she became a Lead 3D Character Artist on the Total War: Warhammer team. She contributed towards shipping 3 titles, achieved the Forbes 30 Under 30 Award, and worked with BAFTA Games to share her knowledge on creating character art for Total War: Warhammer. In June 2021, she left the Creative Assembly team to become a 3D Principal Artist at Mediatonic, where she is now working on Fall Guys.


Madeleine Bellwoar Freelance Artist

Madeleine is a digital and traditional painter specializing in environments with a passion for creating useful tools for artists.  She is currently doing background and asset painting for Lunafon: Tales of the Moon Oak by Ddraig House Game Studio and also designing digital brushes for painting.


Pete Ellis – Senior Director of Art, Epic Games

Pete Ellis started at Epic Games in 2005 and focused on creating sci-fi art and pushing the boundaries of high-poly modeling and real-time graphics. After working as an environment artist on Unreal Tournament 3 and the Gears of War series, Pete began working on a zombie survival/base-building project which would then become Fortnite. Pete defined the foundational art style of Fortnite early on and iterated it to where it’s at today. Currently, Pete is responsible for overseeing the artistic development of Fortnite. He works with a worldwide art team collaborating with all disciplines to continue bringing amazing new experiences to millions of Fortnite players all over the world.


Raf Grassetti – Art Director, Sony Santa Monica

Raf Grassetti is both a digital and traditional artist who has worked in the entertainment industry for over seventeen years. Grassetti launched his career as a traditional sculptor but transitioned to digital sculpting after discovering the power of immortalizing his subjects in digital stone. He has contributed to more than 20 titles during his world-renowned career, including some of the most successful franchises in the world. He has won awards for best Art Director, Best Digital Sculptor, and Video Game of the Year. Currently based in Los Angeles, he is working as an Art Director on Sony Santa Monica’s God of War franchise, as well as working on his personal art book, crypto art, and exhibition and gallery work.


Alison Farmer – Senior Texture Artist, Unreal Engine, Epic Games

Alison has 16 years of visual effects industry experience working as a Texture Artist for a variety of highly-acclaimed companies, including Industrial Light and Magic, Double Negative, and Weta Digital. Some of her film credits include Kong: Skull Island, Bumblebee, Warcraft, and Avatar. She recently made the jump to ‘real-time’ and is currently working as a Senior Texture Artist at Epic Games.


Grace Liu – Art Director, Monomi Park

Grace’s gaming obsessions became justifiable professionally in 2009. She has worked in AAA and indie companies in 2D/3D positions, specializing in hand-painted stylized games such as Diablo 3, League of Legends, and Battle Chasers: Nightwar. Today, she is the Art Director at Monomi Park, working on Slime Ranchers 2 and an unannounced project.

Live Character Drawing Session with Drawing Cabaret Couture

Join ArtStation and Drawing Cabaret Couture for an immersive 2-hour online drawing figure session that explores the creative world of fashion designer, Polosophia.  All you need to bring is your drawing tablet or notebook and pencil and you’ll be set to take part in a fun character illustration session like you’ve never experienced before. Complete with a live professional model, haute couture whimsical wardrobe, and bespoke set design, this activity is sure to both delight and challenge you.
