Online school Computer Graphics Master Academy has opened registrations for its Summer term, offering almost 30 courses in entertainment design disciplines, tailored for artists of all skill levels.

Interactive online training from leading artists
CGMA runs specialist programs in character and environment design, plus a general foundation course, all taught by leading illustrators and concept artists.

Each program runs over six terms, leading to a certificate of completion; or modules can be selected individually. Modules are arranged in weekly segments, each with a video lecture; an assignment with individual feedback from the instructor; and a live Q&A. Most cost $699.

New for Summer 2015
There are five new courses this term, two devoted to environments and three to characters.

Disney veteran Patrick Raines‘ course covers creating quick environment sketches; while Environment Design 2, taught by Blizzard Entertainment’s Charles Lee, covers advanced work.

New character-related courses include an Introduction to Character and Creature Design taught by SCEA’s Eric Ryan, and specialist courses on drawing heads and clothed figures.

Registration for the Summer term closes on 24 July 2015, and classes begin immediately afterwards.
