It’s Art Master Classes March 14-15 in Paris

It’s Art has announced its Master Classes event in Paris from March 14-15, 2015 at the Palais Brongniart in Paris, France. The event will cover the digital art, 2D, 3D, animation and VFX with industry leaders from major game and film studios.

Speakers

Andrew Schmidt, a veteran artist at Pixar Animation, with more than 20 years’ experience, will exclusively unveil behind-the-scenes experiences at Pixar as an animator, as he shares his secrets to animating a character.

Raphaël Lacoste, art director for the licensed, Assassin’s Creed at Ubisoft Montreal, will present behind the scenes look at one of the most popular games in the market and will relay stories of his artistic career starting from his studies in France, his development at major studios and his current position.

Marc Simonetti, described by G.R.R. Martin, as the artist who has best represented the Game of Thrones, is the illustrator of Terry Pratchett’s series: Discworld, and many other games. He will exhibit the art of composition and techniques of “Speed Painting”.

Allan McKay will take you behind the scenes of some of Hollywood’s greatest blockbuster movies. With more than 20 years’ experience in visual effects and involvement in films such as Transformers and Star Trek, Allan has also collaborated in cinematics for God of War and Destiny.

Laurent Witz, director of  Mr. Hublot, will present the Oscar winning, best-animated short film for 2013, followed by a making-of presentation.

Piotr Suchodolski, one of the artists in charge of special effects for Platige’s Ambition will screen the short film made in collaboration with ESA, starring Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones) and Aisling Franciosi (The Fall/Jimmy’s Hall). A master class on creating effects from Ambition will follow the short film presentation.
