Concept Artist Gavriil Klimov

klimov-headshot Gavriil Afanasyev Klimov is a freelance concept artist for the movie and game industries. Born and raised in Europe, he moved to Los Angeles to attend Art Center College of Design, majoring in Industrial Design with a focus on Entertainment Design. He has worked for Activision, Adhesive Games, Blizzard Entertainment, Digital Frontier, Ignition, Creative, Kojima Productions, MPC, Nike, Paramount Pictures, Pixar Animation Studios, Prologue, Rhythm and Hues, and Treyarch, among others. Gavriil currently lives in London, UK.

Who am I?

My name is Gavriil Klimov. I am a senior concept artist working in the movie and game industry.

I love the design of hard-surface objects and entities.

How do you want to impact the world?

When I was younger, I was greatly impressed and inspired by older artists who were working in this field. Their imagination and the scenery they created blew my mind and made me dream about non-existent places. If I can at least inspire a younger generation of artists to follow and pursue their dreams, I would be more than glad!

What are you passionate about in your art?

I have always been a huge movie and art fan. I grew up watching Disney and Pixar movies. My dream was to work in the entertainment industry.

I am passionate about everything related to my art and my fellow artists and designers.

I am passionate about technology that gives artists more freedom.

I am passionate about pushing the boundaries and always strive for the next level.

I am passionate about seeing a project like a game or a movie come to life. Seeing my concept being used is extremely rewarding and fuels my passion.
