Apply to Gnomon’s Fall 2021 Term

Gnomon is currently accepting applications for its full-time programs for the Fall 2021 term. Priority deadline for both the Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Production and the Certificate in Digital production is March 5th, 2021 (with a final deadline of June 30th). Admissions advisors, who are artists themselves, are available via Zoom or phone to answer questions and provide detailed portfolio feedback specific to each prospective student.

While all programs at Gnomon consist of both digital and traditional courses to create well-rounded artists, there are some distinct differences between the BFA Degree and Certificate programs (think of the BFA as an undergraduate degree and the Certificate as a master’s degree).

Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Production

Gnomon’s Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Production is a full-time degree program designed to produce production-ready artists who are versed in general academic knowledge, foundational arts, and production skills. The curriculum covers all aspects of a 3D generalist skill set, providing an in-depth understanding of the 3D production pipeline, and a strong foundation in both visual arts and general education studies. BFA students will develop their command of design and technical applications to contribute and succeed within the competitive film, game, and visual effects industries.

Certificate in Digital Production

Gnomon’s Certificate in Digital Production is a full-time program comprised of two years of instruction in digital production. The curriculum is geared toward students with a background in art and who desire a career as a digital artist in the film, games, or visual effects industries. Students build foundational 3D skills in the first two terms before choosing an area of emphasized study for the remainder of the program.
