Giant Robots vs. Kaiju Monsters! Yeah, that’s a no-brainer. We have a deep affection for this genre; countless exceptional series have graced our screens in the past, and we’ve practically grown up with them. But hold on a moment… Oh, it’s dawned on us—we’re the ones at the helm this time! Introducing the all-new ‘Mech Cadets.’
The journey of creating the world for “Mech Cadets” has been both exhilarating and, honestly, a bit nerve-wracking. Our exceptional team of artists took on this responsibility with utmost seriousness as they embarked on the task of adapting the stunning original comic series crafted by Greg Pak and Takeshi Miyazawa into a unique animated series. It was a bit of a stumble at first as we worked on assembling the art team and finding the style that this action-packed yet emotionally charged story demanded. This was made all the more challenging as we shifted to full remote work due to the pandemic, much like countless other projects that began in 2019.
Now, fast forward to 2023. We’re incredibly proud of our show, though we’ll admit it wasn’t all smooth sailing, and we sincerely hope you all enjoy it.
Here’s a golden opportunity to officially shine a spotlight on the exceptional talent we’ve managed to gather from all corners of the globe, all working remotely but united by a singular purpose: to bring the world of “Mech Cadets” to life. To everyone on the team, we extend our heartfelt thanks for the unwavering passion, dedication, and faith you’ve poured into this project. You are all true heroes. Lastly, we want to express our gratitude to Netflix for providing us with this amazing opportunity and for guiding us throughout this incredible journey.
