The Quarry Art Blast

We’re thrilled to present this Art Blast celebrating the beautiful work that went into creating our epic creature-feature, The Quarry.
The Quarry invites players to party the night away at Hackett’s Quarry Summer Camp. Just ignore the hunters in the woods… and your bitten friend who’s acting a little strange… it’s probably just bears, after all.
Early on in the project we knew we wanted an anachronistic feel to the setting; in the same way that the characters are trapped at the camp, they’re also trapped in an ‘80s aesthetic, reminiscent of iconic horror films such as Friday the 13th and Camp Sleepaway.
With taglines like “You won’t believe what you’ll become” and “What doesn’t kill you will make you stronger!” it’s not a surprise that one of the main themes of The Quarry is transformation, both metaphorical and physical. Showcasing the physical transformation of an infected character presented us with interesting challenges as we had to make each transformation consistent, yet captivating.
We’re incredibly proud of the artwork in the Quarry and the team at Supermassive did a fantastic job. We hope players have as much fun experiencing Hackett’s Quarry as we had bringing it to life!
