What are some tools/networks you use to find work?

I post my artwork on multiple platforms like ArtStation, Behance, Tumblr, Facebook and Instagram. To help the growth of my exposure on each platform, I have the links to my other portfolio sites included every time I post an artwork. I think having a unique art style definitely helps too.

I got most of job opportunities (contracts, full-time, commissions, etc.) from ArtStation and Behance!

What do you think makes a good portfolio?

In my opinion, a good portfolio should focus on showcasing your own strength. If you try to get many different kinds of jobs/projects by posting everything you ever painted/created without filtering, it is going to end up exposing your weakness too. Also, including sketches and painting process images of your artwork will help your audience understand your thinking process and workflow.
