Join ArtStation at Lightbox Expo
Join ArtStation next week at the first-ever Lightbox Expo in Pasadena, California. LightBox Expo (LBX) was conceived by Bobby Chiu and Jim Demonakos as a way to bring together the best artists in animation, illustration, live-action and gaming industries under one roof. The three-day event will be offering portfolio reviews, instructed life drawing, panels, live demos, special programming and much more.

Art Demo Schedule (Booth 220)
To celebrate the recent launch of ArtStation Learning, some instructors will be visiting ArtStation booth to give live demos and chat about their course.
Please note, this is separate from the live demos taking place on the main stage.

ArtStation Portfolio Review Session
On Saturday from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm, Randall Mackey (Art & Design Education Manager), ArtStation Learning instructors Anthony Jones and Robbie Trevino will be offering portfolio reviews on a first-come, first-served basis.
If you would like to have your work reviewed, please arrive early to ensure you secure a spot. As wifi in convention halls can often be unpredictable, we recommend you download your ArtStation portfolio offline. This will save time and make it easier for them to browse your work. The Concept Art Awards
The Concept Art Association will hold their First Annual Concept Art Awards Presented by LightBox Expo Saturday, September 7th in Pasadena, California. Attend the event at the end of the day on Saturday to see which of the lucky finalists will have the honor of taking home the first-ever awards.
Animation Dance-Off Party
The Animation Dance-Off party, hosted by Wacom & Toon Boom, will take place Saturday evening from 7:00pm to midnight in Justine’s Ballroom at the Sheraton hotel (connected to the convention center). It’s a one-of-a-kind contest/party where Lightbox attendees can dance, enjoy refreshments and showcase their animation chops for a chance to win some great prizes.
