ArtStation Jam: Jingle Bell

Ready for a new fun art prompt? #ArtStationJam is a community activity that’ll inspire you to create fresh artwork for your portfolio and explore new themes.

The theme of the next ArtStation Jam is Jingle Bell.  This time, we’re inviting you to create art based on a lyric from a classic holiday song.

It can be a character, location, creature, object, or even a texture! Just be sure to let us know what song and lyric you chose in your description. For this Jam, all mediums are acceptable so feel free to get creative.

How It Works

  1. Choose any classic holiday song. If you need some inspiration, check out this list.
  2. Pick a specific lyric and create an artwork that describes or is inspired by this lyric.
  3. Post your project on ArtStation and tag it with #JingleBellJam and #ArtStationJam so everyone can see your creations in the JingleBellJam channel.

If you share on social media, mention or tag us on Instagram and Twitter (@artstationhq) so we can share your work too!

Since the goal is to create a portfolio piece and engage with the community, you are welcome to collaborate with other artists on your project as long as everyone who contributed is credited to the post.

Posting on the Marketplace or ArtStation Prints:

We encourage you to make your beautiful creations available as ArtStation Prints or the Marketplace where appropriate. However, artwork based on existing IPs is not eligible to be sold. These will be taken down for copyright infringement. Because of this, we encourage you to create original artwork as part of the challenge.

When is the deadline to complete the work?

ArtStation Jams are fun prompts to help you create work for your portfolio. There’s no deadline but we will be announcing a new ArtStation Jam every few weeks.

Can I just tag old work that fits the theme?

We discourage doing this so that it makes it easier for artists who are participating in the Jam to find and connect with other artists taking part.

Can I make a 3D model of another artist’s entry?

We recommend reaching out to the artist for permission directly. ArtStation cannot grant permission to other artists’ work.
