The Journey Challenge: Award Winners and Honourable Mentions
ArtStation’s first Community Challenge, The Journey, launched just over two months ago, and our primary goal was to foster community-based learning. The submission process was entirely open, anyone could see anyone else’s work, and users could even livestream their works in progress on Twitch and ask for feedback. 3,388 artists took up the challenge with some artists putting in hundreds of hours into their submissions, and showing great community spirit with their feedback and encouragement.
We’re very pleased to announce the winners and honourable mentions for The Journey Challenge as judged by James Paick, Justin Fields, and the ArtStation team. The winners each receive a complete virtual trophy, designed with meticulous attention to detail by industrial designer Ivan Šanti? (check out the process of designing the Awards, download the graphics here).
We’d like to thank James Paick (Brainstorm School) and Justin Fields (Ironklad Studios) for the daunting task of judging the respective 2D and 3D categories, Ivan Šanti? for his outstanding work on the design of the ArtStation Awards, and Twitch Creative for their support of the first ArtStation Challenge.
