Gnomon Event: Autodesk & Allegorithmic Tuesday 26th January

Gnomon School of Visual Effects is hosting an evening with Autodesk and Allegorithmic on Tuesday 26th January. The free event will include expert product presentations, training and networking with Autodesk, Allegorithmic & Massive. Quinn Richardson from Autodesk will be dropping by to show Flame & Shotgun & answer questions, Alexis Khouri & Jérémie Noguer from Allegorithmic will demonstrate recent advances in the latest versions of Substance Painter & Substance Designer, and how they fit within the Maya/Max pipeline, and Walter Schulz will be presenting the latest features and tricks for simulating crowd with Massive for Maya.

The event is free and open to the public. Entry is by RSVP only, and seating is first come first served.

Quinn Richardson, Autodesk
Quinn Richardson has been a designer, animator and colorist.
His role with Autodesk is specializing in solutions and workflows utilizing the Flame Family of products- Flame, Flare, Flame Assist and Lustre. Prior to joining Autodesk, Quinn spent 17yrs utilizing Flame and Smoke as well as Maya in various creative positions from Miami to Washington DC. His clients have included: BBDO, Taxi Films, Univision, Arnold Worldwide, The Discovery Channel, TLC, BBC America, PBS, Fila, various political consultancies & The National Geographic Channel. Quinn brings elegant solutions to complex problems. Always seeking out the nexus of creative and technical challenges.

Alexis Khouri, Vice President, Allegorithmic
Alexis Khouri has joined Allegorithmic in 2007 and has been deeply involved in the product design of Substance, the smart texturing solution.  Alexis has been working for Cryonetworks (Online Game development, Product Manager), Simon Kucher & Partners (Strategy Consulting, Senior Consultant), Playsoft (Mobile Game development, General Manager). Graduated from Essec Business School (Paris) in 2003, Alexis KHOURI has a strong background in art production pipelines and has developed long term relationships with prominent studios such as Naughty Dog, Rockstar Games and Ubisoft.

Jérémie Noguer, Product Manager & Technical Artist, Allegorithmic
Jérémie Noguer was one of the first artists to join Allegorithmic in 2006 and works on multiple tasks in the company, ranging from production of Tech demos to product design or in-depth training at client’s studios. Jérémie graduated in Computer Graphics from Clermont-Ferrand University in 2006 and is skilled in both 2D and 3D graphics as well as FX and Gameplay programming.

Walter Schulz, Crowds Supervisor, Creature Developer, Senior Rigging Supervisor
Walter’s extensive background in the visual effects industry includes Oscar Winning and Oscar Nominated work for major films such as “Hugo”, “Hereafter”, “Transformers: Dark of the Moon”, “Avengers”, “Battleship” and more; contributing for studios such as ILM, PIxomondo, Scanline VFX and MPC, to name a few. In 2015 he worked on high rating TV shows including “The Flash”, “Supergirl”, “Legends of Tomorrow” and “The Walking Dead”. While In between major projects, Walter also works as On-Set Supervisor and VFX Supervisor on commercials for top agencies worldwide. His broad educational background includes Art Center College of Design, Gnomon School of Visual Effects, and UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.
