Out of Time is a fast-paced, multiplayer time travel co-op roguelite where your squad, your gear, and your teamwork determine your survival against relentless enemies and against time itself. Trapped in space and time, mankind has to survive and uncover the mysterious forces that threaten them!

It’s an honor to share the art of Out of Time and the creative journey behind it with the ArtStation community, a true testament to the hard work, passion, and perseverance of our small but mighty art team at Manticore Games. 

Our visual style is inspired by the timeless magic of legendary RPGs, the playful vibrancy of classic Nintendo games, the enchanting worlds of Studio Ghibli films, and the nostalgic atmosphere of Hollywood’s golden-era adventures. This blend creates a visually captivating experience where every frame feels like a meticulously crafted piece of art.

Each era is designed to evoke a sense of nostalgia while introducing fresh, exciting visuals that feel both familiar and entirely new. One moment, you are roaming whimsical medieval wilds filled with fantastical creatures, surrounded by ancient forests and snow-capped mountains. Next, you’re fighting through a post-apocalyptic wasteland scarred by disaster. Soon after, you’re sprinting across sunlit California hillsides sprinkled with farms, retro diners, and abandoned outposts. And finally, you journey back to the dawn of time – confronting natural extinctions, battling ancient beasts, and surviving primordial cataclysms. This seamless journey across past, present and future weaves a rich tapestry of time, and we invite players to explore the hidden stories and mysteries of our world.

Our characters and gear sets draw inspiration from iconic anime, modern games, and bold comic-book superheroes. They burst to life with vibrant palettes, expressive silhouettes, fluid animations, and over-the-top visual effects that emphasize personality, power, and pure fun.

I’m incredibly proud of what the team has accomplished. The result is a gorgeous, high-energy action game that’s an absolute joy to play with friends and we truly hope it becomes a place where players create unforgettable moments and cherished memories together.
