Animation Week is returning to ArtStation! From July 11th to 15th 2022, we’ll be putting a spotlight on the amazing animation work being done by the ArtStation community. Tune in for live Q&A events on ArtStation Blogs, and be on the lookout for exciting educational content coming next week.

Animation Week is an excellent time to network with other professionals in the field, so be sure to update your portfolio and properly tag your animation pieces for maximum visibility.

How do I upload my work to the Featured Channels?

When uploading or editing a project from your portfolio manager, scroll down to the “Tags” section of the page. In the Tags text box type in the tag you’d like to add to your work.

How do I participate in live Q&A events?

Our Animation Week Q&As are live text-based events on ArtStation Blogs. Check back in on this announcement for links to the artists’ blog pages where the Q&As will take place.

Nikie is currently a Lead Look Development/Texture Artist in the Animation industry with over 12 years of experience. She has worked with studios such as Nickelodeon, DreamWorks TV, and Laika/house for clients such as Nike, Chipotle, Adobe, Cheerios, Wacom, Supercell, and many more. Some projects she has worked on include Star Trek: Prodigy, Rugrats, Fast & Furious Spy Racers and too many M&Ms commercials to count!


July 13th 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. ET: Sava Zivkovic

Sava Zivkovic is a Director based in Belgrade, Serbia. He graduated from the Belgrade University of Arts in the department of Interior and Furniture design in 2012. Having developed a strong passion for film and animation, he decides to take on this career path and focuses on all things motion picture. He has a strong belief in devoting time to personal projects, has received several awards and recognitions from the CG industry and has also given back to the industry by publishing some of his insights and behind the scenes processes from his personal projects.

In late 2017 he started his directing career at Axis Studios and continues the collaboration with Glasgow based studio, working on AAA game cinematics as well as never ending development of personal IPs.

Ranked on the 2020 Report on Business list of Canada’s Top Growing Companies, Squeeze is an animation studio located in Quebec and Montreal with an international reputation. Co-founded in 2011 by Denis Doré and Patrick Beaulieu and supported by a creative team of more than 200 artists and technical experts, the studio develops larger-than-life characters thanks to the magic of 3D animation. Squeeze works with the world’s elite in the entertainment industry including companies such as Disney, Marvel, Universal, Illumination, Supercell, Warner and Ubisoft.
