The Syn Studio Concept Art Diploma Program was designed to help aspiring concept artists learn the skills necessary to meet the demands and become successful in the highly competitive concept art industry. Over the first 9 months of the 18-month program, students undergo rigorous training to master their fundamentals and develop high-level design and illustration skills using traditional art tools, Photoshop, and 3D software. During the second half of the program, students apply these skills to concept art assignments, while learning advanced digital techniques and cutting edge pipelines so their deliverables match the exacting standards of the industry. At this phase, the students take the role of the junior concept artists and their teachers act as their art directors, providing them with critical on-the-job skills and helping them develop a professional-level concept art portfolio. 

The Syn Studio Concept Art Diploma Program’s involved a complete and thorough analysis of the current industry trends and requirements, a careful evaluation of similar top concept art programs from around the world as well as consultations with top educators and concept artists, most notably Scott Robertson. The comprehensive concept art training provided prepares students to be industry-ready upon graduation through its unique hands-on structure, industry-relevant courses, small class size, and high-quality teaching faculty. In addition to the relevant course content and in-class activities, Syn Studio also provides its students with ample opportunities to network with senior concept artists and art directors and get noticed by companies during supplementary workshops, masterclasses, studio visits and other industry-related events (all included free of charge for diploma students).
