THU 2019 Golden Ticket Challenge Student and Professional Winners
For the the seventh year in a row Trojan Horse was a Unicorn has held its Golden Ticket Challenge to welcome Tribe Members to attend the Trojan Horse was a Unicorn festival. This year’s theme was “Desirable Future” to challenge the Tribe to imagine their inner child in a future set in 40 years from now. For the second time, the Golden Ticket was awarded in two categories—Professionals and Students. 925 artists took up the challenge to create a submission that captured the mission to build a world where innovation is the universal language and technology and creativity join forces. We’d like to thank all the artists who participated in the challenge, and congratulate them on their creative efforts.

Thomas Chamberlain-Keen: “There’s something mystical about the way people talk about THU—the scattered recollections I’ve heard have combined into this sense that I simply need to experience it for myself. It also marks a personal progression from my previous entry to the contest; It’s very humbling to look back at all the help I’ve received to achieve something I didn’t think possible just two years ago. Rueben Lane: “I am absolutely over the moon to have won this challenge! It started just at the right time where I could really invest myself into it, and it was a super fun journey! Perhaps the best aspect is seeing what everyone else is contributing alongside you in real-time, and being able to see how their unique interpretations of the brief also grew and came to fruition. I felt instantly inspired by the theme of Desirable Future, which compelled me to explore mixing forms from nature with functions of the future! I am so excited to have the opportunity to visit beautiful Malta and go to THU!”
