MIGS18: ArtStation Portfolio Reviews and Demos

The Montreal International Game Summit takes place from the 12 & 13 of November at the Palais-des-Congrès. The event will bring together hundreds of international experts to one of the largest hubs of video games development in the world so that they can share their knowledge with the local and international developers attending the event. Attendees will get to learn from the experts during conference sessions, masterclasses, and one-on-one coaching sessions before rubbing shoulders with them during the MIGS networking cocktails and other special events over the 2 days.

Don’t miss ArtStation’s activities on Monday, November 12th during the event. We will be hosting two amazing artist demos and organizing portfolio reviews from 5pm – 8pm with an all-star group of senior artists. Many of them will be recruiting for their studios, so this is your chance to shine with a great looking ArtStation Pro Portfolio! Those seeking portfolio reviews will be able to reserve a spot throughout the day at the ArtStation booth #704. See below for the list of demo artists and reviewers. Art Demo Schedule

11am to 1pm – Anastasia Ovchinnikova

Anastasia Ovchinnikova is an artist who specializes in fantasy illustrations for games, books and movies. She has created work for: Wizards of the Coast, Valve, Bethesda, Fantasy Flight Publishing, Games Workshop, DeNA as well as dozens of other clients. She works both digitally and traditionally.

Raphael Lacoste

Raphaël Lacoste is an award-winning art director and illustrator currently working at Ubisoft Montreal as the franchise art director for Assassin’s Creed.  Throughout his career, he has worked on many AAA titles projects in the video game and VFX industries. Raphael has a Master of art in 3D animation (University of Portsmouth) and a Fine Arts degree in Art and Media, Photography (France).  Raphael Won two VES awards, one in 2018 for Assassin’s Creed Origins and in 2006 for Prince of Persia The Two Thrones.

Thierry Doizon

Thierry “barontieri” Doizon is a concept designer, teacher, and boardrider who had the privilege of traveling around the world to work on many acclaimed projects and at several video game studios. He lives in Montreal and currently works at Expedition Art and Ubisoft.

Alina Ivanchenko

Alina Ivanchenko was born in Moscow, Russia, where she received classical art training. She taught herself computer graphics, and shortly after University, began her career in video games as a 3D artist. In pursuit of this career path, she moved to Canada in 2012, where she has been working on AAA and casual projects ever since. With over 10 years of experience in the industry, Alina feels comfortable working on a multitude of art styles, from realism to stylized. She is heavily involved in in the ZBrush users community, having recently become an official ZBrushLive streamer and ZBrush 2018 beta tester.

Marie-Michelle Pepin

Marie-Michelle Pepin is a French-Canadian senior character artist now working as a full-time freelancer in Montreal. With more than 7 years experience in the game industry, she started her career in Quebec city Frima and Activision Beenox before moving to Montreal and offering her service as a freelancer. Her clients in the industry range from AAA studios to small independent development houses. She is currently freelancing on the much anticipated new Ken Levine game and has worked on titles such as Street Fighter 5, XCOM 2, Tacoma, Total War: Rome II- Daughters of Mars, Skylanders: Trap Team and Skylanders: Swap Force.

Jeryce Dianingana

Jeryce Dianingana has 6 years of experience in the 3D industry. He made his start at Mycloud3D, a Archviz Real-time company based in Paris as a lighting and modele , then at PrettySimple. He left France to work for Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey at Ubisoft Quebec and today is working for Eidos-Montreal as an Environment Artist on an unannounced project. Jeryce was also awarded 2nd place in the ArtStation Community Challenge: Beyond Human – Game Environment/Level Art

Donglu Yu

Donglu is a Senior Concept artist who is currently working at Ubisoft Montreal on the Assassin’s Creed franchise. She has had the opportunity to contribute to some great titles, including Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood,  Assassin’s Creed III, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and Farcry 4.

Yohann Schepacz

Yohann Schepacz is a French Conceptual Designer and Illustrator know for his work in the film and video game industries. In 2012, he relocated to Canada and joined Eidos Montreal. Over his 5 years with the company, he took part in the visual development of projects such as Rise of the Tomb Raider, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Deus Ex Mankind Divided and others, mostly as an environment concept artist. He then went freelancing full-time and created his own outsourcing studio OXAN along with his life-long partner Lian. He is now working for a great variety of clients such as Lionsgate,  Disney, ArenaNet, Ubisoft, Guerrilla Games, Konami and 20th Century Fox to name a few.

Marc-Olivier Plouffe

Marc-Olivier has worked as a Character Artist for THQ, Bioware, Eidos and freelanced for many video-game and cinematic studios like Blur, Capcom, etc. He now co-own the studio Keos Masons alongside Cédric Séaut.

Isabelle Lacasse, Recruiter at Beenox

Beenox is a video game development studio created in 2000. Located in beautiful Quebec City, Canada, Beenox is a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision Publishing Inc., one of the world’s top game developers. The studio is proud to contribute to the development of the Call of Duty video game franchise. Beenox has also contributed to the resounding success of the Skylanders, Spider-Man, and Guitar Hero franchises.
