Join Gnomon on Monday, November 20th where first-time director, Nicholas Arioli of ‘Coin Operated’ will recall the five important lessons he learned during the journey of developing an idea into an acclaimed independent short film. Joining Nicholas at the Gnomon Stage will be Rex Grignon, CEO and Co-Founder of Nimble Collective, and previously Head of Character Animation at DreamWorks Animation with credits including Antz, Shrek, Toy Story, Kung Fu Panda, and many more.
The one-hour presentation will inspire and educate artists of all levels, and offer priceless insights for those looking to create their own animated short films. Nicholas Arioli – Director, ‘Coin Operated’
Nicholas Arioli is a first-time filmmaker. An engineer by training but an artist at heart, Nicholas spent years in the technology industry before making the jump into filmmaking. He was born and raised in New York City, now lives in San Francisco, and is red-green colorblind.
Rex Grignon – Co-Founder & CEO, Nimble Collective
Rex Grignon is an animation and computer graphics pioneer. Rex has animated on some of the top films of all time, including Toy Story, Shrek, and the Madagascar movies. Before co-founding Nimble Collective, Rex was Head of Character Animation at DreamWorks Animation.
