Outfit7 Art Challenge
Outfit 7 is one of the world’s biggest and best mobile game developers, and they’re on the hunt for a market-conquering game. They’re offering a top prize of 15,000 euros to the artist who can impress them with their imagination, creativity, and vision. And if your work really blows them away, a future working with them at the cutting edge of digital entertainment awaits you.
The Challenge
Each entry will need to address the following:
- Character design;
- Environment art; and
- Game mechanics.
The main focus is on character design, but your character must be unique, must tell a compelling story, and must generate an emotional response in the gamer.
The Prizes
The Create & Conquer challenge will have 1 winner and 2 runners-up. Since great work deserves a great reward, the winner will receive a cash prize of 15,000 euros (1st place). The two runners-up will receive 5,000 euros each (2nd and 3rd place). And if your art leads us to create a successful game, we want you to be part of it; details will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
Judging
The entries will be judged on their creative and narrative merits. The characters should tell a compelling story and produce an emotional response. The design of the environment and consideration of the game mechanics will also be crucial components of an entry’s success.
Deadline
You have until 12pm CET on 31 October, 2017 to submit your entry.
Winners Announcement
Winners will be announced on the Outfit7 Challenge Page on 30 November, 2017.
