The hottest art tickets of 2017 go on sale on February 15th
Trojan Horse was a Unicorn (THU) returns to Troia, Portugal September 18th – 23rd uniting The Tribe in a new phase called the “Epoch of Belief”. In two weeks the tickets will go on sale for the best art experience of the year, so start making your plans to be transformed.
2017 Speakers Announced So Far
A number of speakers have already been announced for the 2017 event including: Dylan Ekren, Scott Eaton, Maciej Kuciara, Paul Pepera, and many more to come.
Format Changes
As with all THUs, there are plenty of changes on the way based on artist feedback but the core of the event will remain—Tribe-building and bonding. Among the changes will be a better balance between hands-on activities and talks. The goal will be to make sure that each attendee makes the most out of the six days in Troia by not spending too much time doing the same activity. The structure of an average day will be: talk, hands-on activity, mentorship, talk, mentorship. Fireside chats will also return to THU this year and will be the last activity to take place at night allowing attendees to enjoy a cozy conversation with their favorite speaker and fellow Tribe members before going to bed. There will be a special event taking place every afternoon at The Gallery (a 1500m2 creative enclave). Portfolio reviews and mentorships will be upgraded, with more detailed feedback and more interaction between the mentors and the attendees. Co-Labs will add more teams and allow more time to create the final pitch for a visual art project. A new workshop/activity stream will be added to the program covering management and entrepreneurship.
ArtStation Recruitment Fair
The first two days of THU are dedicated to Tribe-building activities and recruitment. The digital entertainment industry’s top companies will be present at the ArtStation Recruitment Fair giving artists the opportunity to interview and present their portfolios for feedback.
Post-THU Dinner in Lisbon
After many unofficial post-THU dinners in Lisbon for previous THUs, an official dinner will take place this year for artists who choose to decompress in the amazing city.
Tickets for THU 2017
Tickets for this year’s event will go on sale on February 15. THU are introducing payment plans to make attending the event more accessible. Depending on when you purchase your ticket, you can choose to make between 2 to 5 payments. Your ticket will be reserved as soon as you pay the first instalment. All tickets include access to the entire THU experience, as well as the shuttle service to and from Lisbon airport.
