How to Run a Successful VR Studio with The Foundry & VR Playhouse

Gnomon School of Visual Effects has announced How to Run a Successful VR Studio, hosted by The Foundry featuring VR Playhouse. The free event will be held in Los Angeles on Wednesday December 7th at 6:00PM (PDT) at the Gnomon Campus in Hollywood.

VR Playhouse CEO Christina Heller and Technical Director Jordan Halsey will share their experiences running a successful VR business while balancing their time between commercial projects and passion projects. They’ll take us behind the scenes of their upcoming VR experience Girl, which the team created using the latest tools from The Foundry and Google VR.

The Foundry’s Media Production Creative Manager Mariana Acuna will also share the latest updates to NUKE and CARA VR, which offers new support for Google Jump, including a toolset for quickly extracting and working with depth information from the Google Jump assembler.

Whether you’re currently working in VR, or still exploring the possibilities, this evening will give you an insightful look at what goes into creating, planning and delivering VR content today. Refreshments and welcome start at 6:00 PM, followed by presentations from 7:00 until 8:30 PM, leaving plenty of time for networking with your colleagues and industry peers before and after.

Please make sure to RSVP or follow along on Livestream. The event is hosted by The Foundry in partnership with Google VR, Lenovo, and Gnomon.
