Gnomon ships Figure Fundamentals Vol. 1
The Gnomon Workshop has released Figure Fundamentals Volume 1: Construction for Proportion and Gesture, a new tutorial on figure drawing recorded by Los Angeles-based painter Van Arno.
In it, Arno covers the fundamentals of human anatomy and traditional drawing methodology, exploring how to catch the essentials of a pose without being distracted by unnecessary detail.
Gnomon calls the video, which runs for just under three hours, “a boot camp for beginners [and] a valuable refresher for experienced artists”. It’s available via digital download, and costs $59.
