If you’re in Hollywood over the weekend of 2-3 May 2015, check out Animal: a celebration of “art, nature and conservation” being held at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects.

The event, which is free to attend, but which is being organised to raise donations to support the California Wildlife Center, includes two days of talks from leading illustrators and concept artists.

Speakers include Terryl Whitlatch, Neville Page, Laurel Austin and Jerad Marantz.

Entry is free, but seating is on a first-come, first served basis. You can RSVP via the link below.

The talks are accompanied by a free exhibition at the adjoining Gnomon Gallery, launched with an evening reception from 8-11pm on Friday 1 May.

Updated 30 April: If you can’t make it to Hollywood in person, Gnomon will now be broadcasting the artist presentations live online. The livestream begins at 9am PDT on Saturday 2 May.
