Syn Studio Concept Art Diploma Program

Syn Studio, one of Canada’s top concept art schools, is inviting aspiring concept artists to apply for the Fall 2017 intake of its 18 month Concept Art Diploma Program. The intensive program, which was launched in October 2016, helps aspiring concept artists master the fundamentals and learn the advanced concept art pipelines to become industry ready. During the 18-month diploma program, you will master fundamentals and learn advanced concept art pipelines and techniques that are not taught in similar programs. These courses are designed to make you industry-ready upon graduation, thereby giving you a huge head start in this competitive industry.

Our cutting edge curriculum was designed keeping current industry standards in mind and after consultations with top concept artists, art directors and educators from around the world, most notably Scott Robertson.

As a student in the Syn Studio Concept Art Diploma Program, you get an inside view of how the industry functions which paves the way for a smooth transition, where you learn the ropes during the program, so you can advance quickly in the industry after getting hired.

The faculty members currently teaching in the program include industry veterans such as Thierry Doizon, Daniel Kvasznicza, Christian de Massy and Fred Bennett. Our teachers currently work as art directors, lead and senior concept artists in film (X-Men: Days of Future Past, 300, Sin City) as well as for top video game companies such as Warner Brother Games, Eidos, Square Enix and Ubisoft, among others.

Students get a lot of individual attention and expert one-on-one coaching which can be customized to suit their needs their needs and requirements. This helps the students focus on their strengths, rectify their weakness and remain focussed on their path to success.

Our teachers, in addition to being top professionals in their respective fields are also expert and sought after instructors. They have decades of combined experience giving high level workshops and classes in colleges, universities and for the industry in Canada and around the world.

As one of the 20 students selected to be in program, you would be chosen after a rigorous selection process designed find the best candidate concept artists from around the world.
