Titanfall 2 Trailer Making Of with Blur Studio

Gnomon School of Visual Effects has announced Titanfall 2 Trailer Making Of, hosted by with leads and supervisors from the award-winning production company Blur Studio. The free event will be held in Los Angeles on Saturday December 17th, at 5:30PM PST (PDT) at the Gnomon Campus in Hollywood.

Known for its artistic excellence across live-action, animation, visual effects, and design, Blur Studio’s top talents will provide an exclusive insight into the production of the recently released Titanfall 2 game trailer. The panel will discuss the full production process, from storyboards through to completion, and will answer audience questions about working on the fast-paced, live-action, and VFX-hybrid project that delivered in only 11 weeks.

The event is for artists of all levels and is free to attend. RSVP today. Seating is on a first-come-first-served basis. RSVP does not guarantee a seat, so be sure to arrive in good time to secure your place in line. If you can’t make it in person, be sure to follow on Livestream. The guest speakers will take questions from both the stage audience and Livestream viewers during the live event (Tweet questions using #gnomon on Twitter).

Following the event will be the opening of the Gnomon Gallery Show, The Art of Blur Studio, where complimentary refreshments will be available.

Oded joined Blur Studio following many years of experience as a CG Supervisor and Look Development Lead for visual effects companies including Luma Pictures, Digital Domain, and Mirada Studios. He has worked as both an artist and a supervisor on many major Hollywood feature films and high profile commercial projects. His feature credits include Doctor Strange, Captain America: Civil War, Deadpool, Ant-Man, and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Dan Akers—VFX Supervisor, Blur Studio

Dan joined after several years at Digital Domain, where he served as VFX and Compositing Supervisor for commercial clients including Nike, UFC, Lexus, Cadillac, Nissan, Kia, Assassin’s Creed, and Destiny. His feature film VFX work at Digital Domain included Gone Girl, Eye in the Sky and a wide variety of hit franchises like Star Trek, Transformers, Tron: Legacy, and Oblivion. He has also been part of Oscar-winning or nominated VFX teams for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and Pirates of the Caribbean franchises.

Chris started as a Lighting and Compositing Artist at Blur Studio in 2005, working his way up to CG Supervisor. He has been involved in over 40 productions including the Rainbow 6 White Masks trailer, Batman Arkham Origins “Transformation” spot, and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo intro title sequence, collaborating with a number of commercial clients including Bungie, Microsoft, Universal Studios, and Riot Games. He is a graduate of the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan.

Nitant Ashok Karnik—Lead Compositor, Blur Studio

After finishing his education at School of Visual Arts in New York, Nitant joined VFX power houses like The Mill, Digital Domain, and Weta, where his work spanned commercials, TV, and feature films. He is most proud of doing look-development compositing on films like Transformers 3, Ender’s Game, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Deadpool and most recently The BFG. In 2015, Nitant received a VES award nomination for “Best Compositing” on the game Destiny: Become Legend.
