Redshift Workshop: Introduction to Production-Ready Rendering

Gnomon School of Visual Effects has announced Redshift Workshop: Introduction to Production-Ready Rendering, hosted by Naughty Dog Environment Artist Christophe Desse. The free event will be held in Los Angeles on Thursday October 27th at 7:30PM (PDT) at the Gnomon Campus in Hollywood.

Christophe will present an introduction to production-ready rendering with Redshift, the GPU renderer used by thousands of creative professionals and studios worldwide. He will discuss his methodology to quickly render a vehicle to achieve great results fast.

Whether you’re a student, hobbyist, or professional artist working in 3D, be sure to attend for professional tips and tricks to help you utilize blend materials, Substance Painter, and HDRI lighting in Redshift. The event is free to attend. Christophe has worked as a special effects artist and modeler for advertising, TV, film, and games in France, Germany and Singapore. He is currently working at Naughty Dog in Santa Monica as an Environment Artist. He started tinkering with 3D software back in 1991, and is now experienced with most industry-standard packages. When he’s not working on industry-defining AAA titles (Uncharted 1, Uncharted 2, Uncharted 3, The Last of Us, Uncharted 4), he enjoys creating stylized characters and super-charged muscle cars.
